Autumn St Remy de Provence

I will have an exhibition in St Remy on October 6th.

The Pyrenees were getting too cold for outside painting so am back in St Remy de Provence.  This is the town where Vincent van Gogh spent nearly a year in the asylum.

The weather and light are excellent for painting outside.  While the rest of France cools off for autumn, here it is very sunny and 28C.  I’m still wearing shorts, sandals and t-shirt.

This is how you know you arrived at St Remy approaching from the south, the ancient Roman ruins and the cyprus trees.Image
